The Human Resources Department oversees and manages the entire human resources division of the Cruise ship.

With his/her vast experience in the field of human resources, the HR Director provides assistance and support to all senior officers, onboard management and heads of other departments when dealing with human resources issues. His/her specific challenge is to manage a multi-cultural cruise ship Officers, crew and staff not only working, but actually living in a limited space for extended period of time. The HR Director is deeply involved on the vital functions of the ship: training and development, performance management, conflict resolution, promotions, transfers, employee relations, employee turnover, berthing compliance, progressive discipline, time and attendance, benefits and compensation administration, policies, procedures and regulatory compliance. His/her goal is to create a cohesive work environment by fostering the company’s values and enforcing human resource policies and procedures.


Acting as a focal point of shorebased Costa Campus department (responsible to coordinate all training and developments activities) for all the training activities/programs planned to be run onboard (with the exception of those under the Safety Officer, Environmental Officer and Security Officer’s responsibility). He/she ensures quality and efficiency according with the training procedures and the goals to be reached. The Learning Officer also supervises all the training delivered through e-learning.
